Hydrocyclone: How does it work? 3D animation

Hydrocyclones are essential devices for phase separation in aqueous solutions, exploiting gravity differences to separate solids or fluids within a bulk fluid. Unlike dry cyclones, these devices use a centrifugal motion generated by a tangential inlet to push the heavier particles downward, where they are discharged. The design without moving parts makes them durable and low-maintenance. A high-fidelity 3D animation with advanced fluid simulation was created to illustrate in detail the operation of the hydrocyclones, showcasing the precision of the separation process.
